Phonography was the 1976 debut 12" vinyl record album by outsider musician and one-man band R. Stevie Moore. The album was originally privately pressed in a limited edition of 100 copies on the artist's private Vital Records "label" in Nashville Tennessee. It contains Moore's earliest songs and sound experiments, all recorded on 1/4 track 7 1/2 ips reel-to-reel stereo tape decks. A 7" e.p. was issued in 1977 called Four From Phonography, which was the debut release by Moore's uncle Harry Palmer... full article at wikipedia
