John 'Jack' Hadley Nicanor Hemingway (October 10, 1923 – December 1, 2000), the first son of American writer Ernest Hemingway and his first wife Hadley Richardson, was born in Toronto, Canada. He was also the father of model and actress Margaux and actress Mariel Hemingway. Nicknamed "Bumby", Jack spent his early years in Paris and the Austrian Alps.
