Douglas Boake joined OpenTable in 2001 from Amazon.com where he was the
vice president of business and corporate development. At Amazon, he
oversaw development of new business opportunities and strategic
partnerships. Prior to Amazon, Douglas was a founding member of
Accept.com, where he served as the vice president of business
development. Accept.com was later acquired by Amazon.
Prior to Accept.com, Douglas served as senior vice president of sales and business development at PointCast Inc., where he oversaw strategic sales and affiliate development, advertising sales, and advertising marketing for the PointCast Network. He also held the position of vice president, International at PointCast, and was president of PointCast Japan, Inc.
Previously, Douglas worked for Radius Inc. as vice president and general manager of the International division. He was also the president of Radius' wholly owned Japanese subsidiary, Radius K.K. Prior to Radius, Douglas served as managing director, Pacific Rim, for Claris Corporation and as president and representative director for Claris Japan, Inc., the company's Japanese subsidiary.
Douglas holds a BA in Managerial Science and Political Science from Rice University.
