"Who and What" is the sixth episode from the eighth season of the American crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation which is set in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a crossover episode between CBS series CSI and Without a Trace. The episode is continued in "Where and Why", a Without a Trace episode. When a woman and a young boy are murdered in a house, CSI processes the scene, but they soon get a special visitor from the FBI: Jack Malone. Malone has flown in because upon scanning a palm print found at the crime scene into ViCAP a match is found, to a print from a NY kidnapping case six years previously. In the earlier case, an adopted boy was taken from his home and his babysitter was murdered. He has been missing ever since. Evidence from the house leads to a poker player from Utah; his son and his ex-girlfriend were the victims found.
