"Two Fathers" follows a story which would lead to the destruction of the Syndicate. With the unexpected return of Cassandra Spender and the alien rebels, the Syndicate is preparing themself for the final invasion. The episode earned a high Nielsen household and syndication rating when compared to other episodes of the sixth season. It was generally well-received by fans and critics alike.
