Christine Mayfield had dealings, even had an affair, with that Supreme Court judge to curry favor in her divorce proceeding against her movie star husband Clay Darren(and that judge subsequently did rule in her favor). Christine manipulated her private investigator (whom she seduced to make him feel that she loved him) Ronald Hawk to frame her movie star husband. Christine Mayfield killed the judge's wife with one of the guns she stole from private investigator Ronald Hawk's gun collection. Then she coached her young boy Clay Jr. (even how to cry for the videotaping!) to frame Ronald Hawk for the gun. Simply put, she manipulated anyone possible to achieve her goals. The detectives had to demonstrate to her ex-husband and her private investigator/lover how she had manipulated both of them...
