Mike Castro de Maria was born in Geneva in 1972 from a Spanish father who fled the Franco dictatorship and a Franco-Italian mother.
His city name combines its origins and he decides to use it as a stage name for its key Latin reflects its aspirations and musical research.
As roads Mike Castro de Maria enters the world of music especially for the "Dirty Side" band that follows the concerts in the south of France. Whene he was fifteen years old, he goes on bass which leads to occur with different groups of the French Riviera.
But the different styles of music that approach are not in line with its expectations and its influences music and rather less rock than "caliente". In 1991, he joined the group "loi 91-32" with whom the adventure will last more than a year.
1994 is the year of his meeting with the Blitz mytical duet : Charlote & Max, future founders of Twiggy. DJ Max is well experienced on french riviera nights, he help him to discover the diversity and richness of electronic music and different artists increasingly seen as Lady B, Scan X, Didier Sinclair, Adolphe, Green Velvet, and so on thru the well know "Transillusion Party" .
It is ripe for all these influences that Mike Castro de Maria realised "So sweet lounge" in 2005, his first CD resolutely lounge and cocooning.
He met Anne Moreau in 2006, which will provide its incredible flavour of her voice and write the words of scathing "Live goes". The collaboration was fruitful, he decided to re-register and co-write with the flamboyant Anne a new version of "Mr Brown" to be closer to his original idea that he had not been able to achieve on this single previously released in 2005.
"Sweet Sugar Lounge", the second opus of this series is available since June 2007.
