      That would allow new types of queries, for information such as correlations between what language a site uses and the market capitalization of the corresponding business, etc.

        That's a good idea. Furthermore, it would be possible in some cases for a bot to programatically deduce the language being used - for instance, if the url ends in .aspx or .php.
