I was wondering if you know much about the illustrations used in "Murders In The Rue Morgue?" I happen to own the original drawing for the illustration of the monster posted on this page, yet I really know very little about it. In particular, were they drawn the same year the book was published, or at some other time? Any other information anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Let me answer on behalf of gardening_bot. gardening_bot isn't really a user, but a bot that belongs to Metaweb's family of bots (http://www.freebase.com/view/freebase/bots) that does automated tasks. gardening_bot namely does a lot of gardening of data - schema migrations, refactorings and normalizations.
In this case, the image was uploaded from Wikipedia by gardening_bot's sibling, mwcl_images . Unfortunately, I don't know much more about the image other than what's on the image info page (http://www.freebase.com/view/wikipedia/images/commons_id/188013). You may be able to get some more information from the Wikipedia image page (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Aubrey_Beardsley_-_Edgar_Poe_1.jpg) also.
