This is an opera by Italian composer Lorenzo Ferrero on a libretto by Marco Ravasini written in 1985. It is a comic opera in two acts about a Middle European philosopher, alert to the implications of a post-modern world, who deserts negative dialectics for money-making. It is a fine juxtaposition of "high" and popular culture music. The premiere took place at Teatro Comunale Alessandria on September 11, 1985.
