Betrayed is a seventh season episode of the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In this episode, Captain Ross assigns Detectives Goren and Eames to investigate the disappearance of Woody Sage (Scott Evans), who has been reported missing by his wife, Kathy Jarrow (Brenda Strong). She is a famous crime writer and has close ties with Ross and the NYPD. An ex-detective herself, Jarrow knows well the investigation procedure manual, and she insists that her husband is missing, and has not walked out on her. Goren and Eames tracks Sage's movements via GPS, and soon they believe his disappearance is connected with a carjacking. But when they backtrack and examine his movements more closely, they begin to suspect Sage may have had a secret lover after all. Soon the detectives learn that he was running off with his beautiful young girlfriend, Avery Hubert (Kim Allen), and they staged the carjacking.
