This is a children's opera in two acts by Italian composer Lorenzo Ferrero on a libretto by Marco Ravasini written in 1981, subtitled "giocodramma melodioso" as opposed to a "melodramma giocoso." The witty libretto is written in an imaginary language which emphasises the element of play, and the aim of the opera is to show children how an opera functions. Alongside professional singers, children take mime roles. The premiere took place at Teatro Poliziano Montepulciano on July 31, 1981.
