"Death Grip" is the fourth episode in the second season of the American crime drama CSI: Miami. The episode was first aired on October 13, 2003.
A female tennis player (Sara Paxton), with hopes of making it into the professional circuit, is allegedly abducted from her bedroom at night and a female arm is found in the stomach of an alligator. The player is eventually found alive, with both her arms attached, and told the team she was in love with the man who was accused of abducting her, her tennis coach. Being that they were within the state's legal age limits for an adult to have a relationship with a minor (she was 16, and he was 23), they could not prosecute him for statutory rape, nor could they prosecute him for abduction, in that she went willingly with him. However, the severed arm found in the stomach of the alligator was that of another victim, one who was abducted and murdered by the same tennis coach.
