This idea is similar to the "require included type" suggestion except that the implementation would slightly different. It would be really helpful to be able to specify Excluded Types in a way that is similar to how we already have Included Types? A type administrator would be able to specify disjoint types that can never be applied to the same topic. That way, we could avoid some of the common co-typing errors like typing something as both a Person and a Company. If someone tried to add an Excluded Type it would give them a friendly error message and suggest they create a seperate topic.
