Pemberton Hall is a historic home located at Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland. It is a one and a half story, three-bay, Flemish bond brick house with a gambrel roof. The construction date of "1741" is scratched in a brick above the side door. One of Isaac Handy's (d. 1763), builder of Pemberton Hall, five sons was George Handy (1756-1820), a charter member of the Society of the Cincinnati. During the American Civil War, the Hall was the home of Allison Parsons, a Southern sympathizer, who insisted on firing a cannon upon the receipt of news of each Confederate victory. In 1868, the Governor of Maryland, Elihu E. Jackson (1837-1907), purchased Pemberton Hall with James Cannon at a trustee's sale. Seth Taylor owned Pemberton Hall from 1931-1963, at which time the Pemberton Hall Foundation took it over and restored the house.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
