Endangered and Threatened Species Listing and Recovery Priority Guidelines

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has developed guidelines governing the assignment of priorities to species for listing as Endangered and Threatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (ACT) and development and implementation of recovery plans for species that are listed under the Act. The guidelines aid in determining how to make the most appropriate use of resources available to implement the Act.
