Architectural Competition to design the Wiener Stadthalle

The competition to design the Wiener Stadthalle was a closed architectural competition in which leading modernist architects were asked to submit their designs for the construction of a new indoor arena in Vienna, Austria.  The selected architect was Roland Rainer, who won over designs by Alvar Aalto and Pier Luigi Nervi in order to secure the commission. more
