NoPayPOKER is a commercial website offering multi-player poker. It differs from most poker sites by adopting the "advergaming" business model in which all play is funded by site sponsors and advertisements. Since it's inception in 2005 the site has become quite popular and has paid out thousands of dollars to its members. The site uses a currency known as "FreeDs" (short for Free Dollars) which has a real cash exchange rate of $0.01(US) to every $1 Freed. Since it is not possible to deposit money on the site the service is also available to US based players, something which would not be the case if deposits were possible due to the law prohibiting online gaming in that country. Cash withdrawals from the site are possible once a player has reached a balance of at least $3000 Freed ($30 USD), and there are no restrictions or limitations on withdrawal.
To its active members the site is generally referred to simply as "NoPay".
The game software used to play the game is a Java based download client.
