Julius Rodman

Julius Rodman is a fictional character in the 1840 serial novel "The Journal of Julius Rodman", by American author and poet Edgar Allan Poe. In the story, Rodman is an adventurer who made the first civilian passage across the Rocky Mountains in North America, in 1792, before the actual first passage made by real-life exploers Lewis and Clarke.
