Charles Albert Boynton (November 26, 1867 – October 12, 1954) was a United States federal judge.
Boynton was born in Quebec, Canada. He received a B.B.S. from Glasgow Normal University, Kentucky in 1888. He received an LL.B. from the University of Michigan in 1891. Boynton was born in Quebec, Canada. He received a B.B.S. from Glasgow Normal University, Kentucky in 1888. He received an LL.B. from the University of Michigan in 1891. He was in private practice in Waco, Texas from 1891 to 1907. He was a U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas from 1907 to 1912. He was in private practice in Waco, Texas from 1912 to 1924.
Boynton was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Boynton was nominated by President Calvin Coolidge on December 16, 1924, to a seat vacated by William R. Smith. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on December 17, 1924, and received his commission the same day. He assumed senior status on May 1, 1947. Boynton's service was terminated on October 12, 1954, due to death.
He died in Dallas, Texas.
