"The Past, Present and Murder" is the twenty-first episode in the fifth season of the American crime drama CSI: NY. The episode aired on April 15, 2009.
A man disappears after falling to his death from the 20th story of Dunbrook's office building. With no body to process, the CSI team must treat the case as a missing person investigation. Mac discovers that the person is a former FBI agent, one of the two who are investigating the missing flash drive.
The agents believe Dunbrook had the hard drive, proven when the CSIs compare the memory stick's contents with the articles from Dunbrook's publications. They accessed the building by using hot strawberry jelly mix poured into a mould to gain the DNA/prints of Ann Steele which they then ate after use. They recovered the memory stick from Dunbrook's office and it is shown to the viewer that the memory stick was crushed by a commuter train after the ex-agent fell, having been pushed by Dunbrook.
This is the second episode of a four episode...
