Freebase takes copyright seriously, and will promptly respond to requests to take down copyright images (or other content) at the request of the copyright holder.
Images in Freebase are imported from Wikipedia and other sources of open-licensed data, or are uploaded by our community. All images should either be:
- Public domain
- Licensed under CC-BY, GFDL, or a similar open license, or
- Used under the terms of Fair Use
Information on how to do this, including what information to include and who to send the takedown notice to, is explained in our Copyright Policy.
