Cosmic Egg is the upcoming second studio album by Australian hard rock band Wolfmother, due to be released in September 2009. The album was recorded between April and May 2009 at Sound City Studios and Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, California and will feature eighteen songs; the title of the album comes from a position in yoga described by vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Andrew Stockdale as "like the fetal pose." Stockdale hopes to finish recording by the end of May, followed by mixing at producer Alan Moulder's London studio and a planned September release. The album's release will be followed by a tour in October and November.
