The Tragicall Historie of Hamlet is the first known publication of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. It is known as the "bad quarto" because it contains only about half of the complete Hamlet text; however, some scholars now regard this shortened version as the text used in travelling productions of Hamlet in early 17th century.
