We Hold These Truths

The Bill of Rights Special, We Hold These Truths,  was commissioned by FDR to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Bill of Rights, the hour-long program was aired over the combined national networks eight days after pearl Harbor. Norman Corwin,  called America's "poet laureate of radio," won a Peabody award for this radio special.
