Arturo Estrada Hernández (b. Panindícuaro, Michoacán, July 30, 1925) is a Mexican painter.
Estrada studied painting under Miguel Moreno, and after 1942 under Raúl Anguiano, Feliciano Peña and José Chávez Morado at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda" in Mexico City. Estrada studied painting under Miguel Moreno, and after 1942 under Raúl Anguiano, Feliciano Peña and José Chávez Morado at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda" in Mexico City. After Antonio M. Ruiz became director of the "La Esmeralda", Estrada became student of Frida Kahlo.. He was also taught by Diego Rivera. In 1946 he finished his studies of painting. Together with Guillermo Monroy and Arturo García Bustos he founded the Artistas Jóvenes Revolucionarios, an association of "young revolutionary artists". Estrada belonged to the last students of Frida Kahlo, and was one of the four so-called "Fridos", who painted the mural "Pulquería Posada del Sol" with her.
