Maurice (Anthony Valentine), a professional gambler, is barred from a casino after his success and a large win. Later, he is beaten up and the winnings are stolen. When he hears of a big poker game at an illegal gambling club in Camden Town run by Greeks, he sees a chance to recoup his losses, and asks Terry to guard him. When he loses, Maurice insists that the game was rigged and seeks a chance to prove it. To raise the stake, he sells his car to Arthur, planning to reclaim it with his winnings. He does win - but only with a spot of cheating.
