Gidley was lead researcher/author of the winning essay in the IAU/Palgrave International Essay Competition in Higher Education Policy Research. The winning entry was entitled From Access to Success: An Integrated Approach to Quality Higher Education informed by Social Inclusion Theory and Practice and will be published in the IAU/Palgrave Journal Higher Education Policy. IAU is the UNESCO-based worldwide association of higher education institutions.
