I can see why it would be useful to record the to and from dates of someones religious affiliation in order to be able to say which one is the most recent. However, I doubt that most of the people topics in Freebase would have this sort of information available.

The only area where I think this would work well is for celebrities. You should check out the Celebrity type in the Postra base. It has exactly the sort of property that you're looking for. For eaxmple, Britney Spears' many religious affiliations.
