The story begins when Jimmie meets Mable and takes her out on a number of dates, pretending to be a high profile producer. Unfortunately for him she says "No" to being his girlfriend and Jimmie decides to get his revenge by becoming her manager. He lures her with promises of Broadway and fortunes, takes her to expensive dates and meetings with people in the top entertainment circles.
Jimmie finally forces Mabel to sign a contract with a Gilbert and Sullivan troupe, which is the beginning of his revenge. Mable's contract is replaced by a contract which brings all the money she earns into Jimmie's pocket....
