Each has an interpreter in tow: on the American side, MICHAEL, a young staffer of Iranian descent; on the Iranian side, AZAR, a luminous young woman with an Oxford accent. Almost immediately, the interpreters begin warping the officials' words to avoid causing offense. But soon realizing the heavy burden on their shoulders and just how little the diplomats are willing to budge, the interpreters go further, making outright policy revisions way beyond their authority. As tempers flare and misunderstandings mount, they must keep their game hidden at all costs - or their good intentions could lead to catastrophic results."
