Desert Flower

Desert Flower is a 2009 German biographical film directed by Sherry Horman. It stars Liya Kebede, Sally Hawkins and Craig Parkinson, and is based on the Somali-born model Waris Dirie's eponymous autobiography. Born into a nomadic pastoralist family, a teenage Waris Dirie (played by Kebede) flees an arranged marriage to a much older man.
